Lewisham Removals

About us

A Lewisham firm, organised by place

We move households across the borough — and we have built this site around the five parts of it that behave differently on a moving day.

Lewisham is one borough on paper and about five in practice. In twenty minutes you can go from a riverside apartment block in Deptford, to a four-storey Victorian villa conversion in Brockley, to a wide Edwardian family house on the Corbett Estate, to a hillside terrace in Sydenham with fourteen steps up to the front door.

Nothing about those jobs is the same except the principle: find out what the access actually is, bring the right vehicle and the right number of people, and protect what you are carrying.

Why this site is organised by area

Most local removals sites list services. We list places, because in this borough the place is what decides the job. Whether you need a stair-carry crew, an early start on a red route, a bay suspension or a tail lift on level ground is a question about your street, not about how many bedrooms you have.

Borough-wide service pages — house removals, business moves, storage — are covered in depth by lewisham-removals.uk, which works the same streets. We deliberately do not publish a second, thinner version of those. If their pages answer your question better, use them.

What we are not

Not the cheapest quote you will get, because the cheapest quote is usually the one that has not counted the loft or allowed for the stairs. Not a broker. And we do not carry accreditations, ratings or press coverage we have not earned — if a claim appears on this site, we can stand behind it.

How we work

Four things we hold to

Survey before quote

Always, including the loft and the cupboard under the stairs. A price given without seeing the access is a guess, and the correction always lands on the morning when you have no options left.

The permit is our job

Most of this borough is a controlled parking zone. We apply to the council for the suspension rather than leaving you to discover on the day that there is nowhere to park a lorry.

Crew sized for the stairs

A fourth-floor conversion flat with a half-landing is not the same job as a ground-floor maisonette. We would rather put an extra person on than have two people wrestling a sofa round a turn.

We say when you do not need us

Ten boxes and a bike is a man-and-van job. One suitcase is a taxi. Telling you that costs us the occasional booking and is still the right answer.

Next step

Talk to us about your move

No obligation. If we are not the right firm for what you need, we will say so — and usually point you at who is.
